Meika-chan: Anime Community — Guidelines & Safety Standards
Help us keep Meika-chan: Anime Community a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Our community thrives on mutual respect, shared passions, and positive engagement.
1. Community Guidelines
Help us keep this space safe and welcoming for everyone by following these simple rules.
Respect
- Be Kind & Welcoming. Treat others as you'd like to be treated. Friendly debates about your favorite anime, games, or ships are always welcome, but personal attacks and gatekeeping are not.
- Zero Harassment. Bullying, hate speech, toxicity, and discriminatory language will result in an immediate strike or permanent ban.
Safety
- Privacy Matters. Protect your own personal data and respect the privacy of others. Only share what you're comfortable with.
- No Doxing or Illegal Links. Never share the private information (phone, address, ID) of any other community member. Additionally, do not post links to illegal torrents or pirated downloads.
- No Impersonation. Be yourself! Do not create accounts designed to impersonate other community members, artists, VTubers, or public figures. If you are running a dedicated fan account, it must be clearly labeled in your bio.
- No Piracy or Illegal Links. Please support the anime industry and its creators! Do not post links that lead to torrents, unofficial streams, illegal downloads, or proxy services to circumvent licensing.
NSFW & Mature Content
- Use the NSFW Toggle. Mature discussions regarding R-18 visual novels, doujinshi, and spicy themes are allowed, provided you strictly use the NSFW Toggle so users can filter their feeds appropriately.
- No Extreme Explicit Content. We have hard limits. Even with the NSFW toggle turned on, we strictly prohibit images showing explicit genitalia, sexual intercourse, or underage/loli nudity. Violating this will result in immediate moderation action.
Content Quality
- Use the Casual/Off-Topic Toggle. We want to hear about your daily life! If your post isn't directly related to anime, otaku culture, or local spots, just make sure to switch on the Casual/Off-Topic Toggle to keep the main feed organized.
- Credit the Original Creators. Share original, high-quality content. If you are posting fanart, videos, or articles that are not yours, you must clearly credit the original artist or source.
- Tag Your Spoilers. Don't ruin the magic for others! Whether it is a major plot twist, a character death, or details from a recently aired episode, you must use proper spoiler tags. When in doubt, tag it out.
- No Unauthorized Selling or Scams. Do not use the platform to spam affiliate links, sell unauthorized merchandise, advertise crowdfunding, or spread referral scams. Keep the feed focused on genuine community interactions, not storefronts.
- No Spam or Untagged Spoilers. Do not flood the feeds or comment sections with repetitive promotional spam. Furthermore, do not ruin the fun for others—always use spoiler tags when discussing major plot points!
2. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
What CSAE Means
CSAE refers to child sexual abuse and exploitation — any content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child. This includes grooming, sextortion, child trafficking, and the production, possession, or distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Reporting CSAE
If you encounter content or behavior that may sexually exploit, endanger, or abuse a minor, report it to us immediately. You can report any post, comment, profile, or message directly inside the Meika-chan: Anime Community app using the Report button, without leaving the app. You can also email our Trust & Safety team at support@meikachan.com. Reports are reviewed promptly and confidentially.
Blocking & Removing Offenders
Every user can block any account at any time to immediately stop all contact from that user. When we confirm a violation of these standards, we remove the offending content, permanently ban the responsible account, and preserve relevant evidence for law enforcement.
Child Safety Point of Contact
For questions about Meika-chan: Anime Community's CSAM-prevention practices or our compliance with applicable child-safety policies, our Trust & Safety point of contact can be reached at support@meikachan.com.
